Period Neoclassic French Commode w/a Gorgeous New Custom Grey Marble Top
About the Item
A French Neoclassical period carved wood commode, with stunning new custom marble top, from the early 19th century. This antique chest from France features rectangular-shaped marble top, with pronounced and outwardly rounded corners, which rests atop a neoclassical case with rounded and fluted side posts flanking three full size graduated drawers. Each of the dove-tailed drawers are adorn with brass trim, and fitted with a pair of brass bail-pulls with decorative back-plates, and a round-shaped escutcheon keyhole at their centers. This commode is presented upon nicely turned, tapering round legs. This piece has a custom bleached finish with a creamy/taupe wash and blue/grey accent trim. The grey marble top is custom/new to this piece and is absolutely stunning! This early 19th century French Neoclassic commode, with stunning marble top, is a versatile case piece offering endless possibilities for placement and use within your home!
