About the Item
Incredible and rare art deco chest cabinet having a sensual sculptural form with top drawer over swing out doors that reveal two interior drawers; below are two more large drawers for added storage. The striking two tones of honey Burl walnut veneer and black laquered wood further heighten the amazing silhouette.
Commode came from a collector who purchased it at Depression Modern in NYC about 30 years ago. The gallery was run by Michael Smith, an Art Deco expert and leader at the Art Deco Society.
