Sheraton Bowfront Chest of Drawers

About the Item

A striking Sheraton bowfront chest of drawers, the Sheraton style being characterized most notably by contrasting veneer inlays. In this piece we have an intricate string of inlay around the top, in good condition, as well as satinwood detail around the drawers. There is a small area where the veneer has been repaired, shown in thumbnail. Brass escutcheons have been replaced but in a period appropriate style. There remain traces of the original blue paper liner in the drawers.
