About the Item
Circa 1850/1880 antique Swedish Gustavian chest of drawers commode in gustavian style with classic Gustavian ribbing detail on the drawer fronts and leading edges.
It has been later painted in the style of Nils Johan Asplinds with stunning wreath motifs flowers and folk art detail
It has pyramid feet, ribbed top edge and 3 drawers.
Classic Gustavian styling and the stunning grey patina brings out all the decorative detailing - it has a plain back
The drawers have all the usual marks of age for a piece of this period
It features ornate brass rings pulls on the drawer s r as you would expect of a piece of this period and 1 escutcheon per full length drawer. No keys.
The drawers have been treated against woodworm and structurally sound for daily use (carefully!)
