Tall Chest in Pine with Five Drawers, Northern Europe, circa 1820

About the Item

A lovely tall chest of drawers in pine with lift-top in pedestal form, followed by five drawers with nickel-plated key plates. The top and bottom drawer have a shaped profile while the middle section is flanked by half-turned columns. The chest rests on a plinth base with scalloped center edge. Comes with 3 keys and original working locks, Denmark or Germany, circa 1820. Note: You should always request a shipping quote.     Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Top of chest lifts up & serves as a hidden compartment for valuables. While lid has a lock, it is missing hinges & key. There are 3 keys for use w/ the 5 drawers. All drawer locks are in working order. Nickel-plated key plates date to the late 1800's.
