- French Carved & Painted Chest with Marble Top, Early 20th CLocated in Atlanta, GAA French painted & carved wood raised chest with marble top from the early 20th century. This antique chest from France features a rectangular-shaped white marble top with gray veining and pronounced rounded front corners, resting atop a case with rounded and fluted side posts which flank three graduated dovetailed drawers, with round bail-pull handles flanking the escutcheon at their centers. This commode is presented upon conical legs with fluted carvings metal feet. This piece has a pale blue finish, which still allows some of the natural wood grain to show through, and is accented with a gold accent trim. Please note that the original marble top has some slight stain/yellowing at it's top (see images for further details). This French raised and marble top chest, circa 1920's, would make a great side chest for a bed or sofa, or perhaps a sweet place to store hand...Category
