Fine German commode dating to the end of the 18th century with three large drawers over short and slightly cabriole ebonized legs. The exterior is profusely inlaid with fine parquetry of various colors and types of walnut, with central German dark rectangular panels framed by line inlay of ebony and lighter French type walnut. The structure and interior of north European pine. All the sturdy locks and key are original and fully functional. The pulls are gilded brass but are not the original although correct and of the period. This exceptional commode is in fine restored condition.
