About the Item
A mid century G Plan Brandon corner unit with modular flanking trapezoidal shelf units. The three individual units come as a set but if you would prefer to omit a section, please feel welcome to send us a message. We would recommend keeping the set together as it is quite rare to find all three pieces together.
G Plan's Brandon range was developed in the 1960s and featured a futuristic alternative to their earlier teak pieces, utilising angular triangular and trapezoid shapes, most distinctly in the design of the handles. The Brandon range also featured a golden oak veneer, another step contemporary preferences, away from the more common use of teak.
The corner unit is an unusual piece that is extremely practical, with a comprehensive cupboard section positioned belong a convenient drawer which doubles as a writing desk with internal shelves. Throupled with the pair of pyramid shelving units, the set provides ample storage and display capabilities. The Shelving units can be used independently in corners themselves, or pushed together to stand flat against a wall.
The doors are fitted with reliable brass ball catches. The fold down frontage of the drawer is safely secured with a neat brass catch which is operated with a satisfying button mechanism, as photographed.
Overall this is a very versatile set that provides something unusual but also very practical to an interior.
