A wonderful vintage Provincial parcel gilt and soft light pale green painted wood corner cabinet by de Bournay.
Born in France in the mid-20th century, exquisitely hand-crafted in Swedish Gustavian Louis XVI taste, featuring high-quality craftsmanship and construction, having a molded cornice, gilt painted accents, open bookcase with adjustable shelves, over a single cupboard door, flanked by fluted pilasters, the verso stamped "de Bournay"; de Bournay is a fine quality French-based furniture maker known for its masterful reproductions of antique furniture.

Very good original unrestored vintage condition. Nicely aged patina with lots of character and charm. Wear consistent with age and use, including scattered nicks, character marks, chippy paint losses. Nothing that detracts from the display or functionality but only adds to the overall authenticity, elegant rustic warmth, timeless sophistication, and rich historical depth that can only be acquired over long periods of time
