French Art Deco Mahogany Buffet Sideboard Credenza with Checkerboard Parquetry

About the Item

Found in France, this circa 1940s cabinet works as a buffet, credenza or sideboard. Good size at just over 88” wide. Light colored mahogany has intricate checkerboard parquetry on the door fronts and side panels. Lots of storage - middle compartment has open storage at top and two narrow drawers at bottom; one side is open storage with a single internal shelf and the other side has two cutaway shelves to allow for tall pieces. Legs are tapered with brass caps on front feet. Four functional keys. Refinished by the French dealer we acquired it from. Unknown maker. Very good vintage condition with minor scattered surface wear.
