A Note from the Craftsman-
My name is Ryan Lee Taylor, lead woodworker at Paramount Wood Co. I present to you a piece of furniture that contains a bit of my blood, sweat, and soul . . . and maybe some tears to see it go. Sourced from top-grade local Bucks County Black Walnut & Maple, this piece gave me tremendous satisfaction to produce.
Having been given the artistic freedom to make it my own gave me great joy as a starting point in its creation. I drew my inspiration from the great George Nakashima and my grandfather, Mervin Petersen. I chose to focus on clean lines and live natural edge elements as details.
Combined with 100% hand-cut precision joinery, the natural beauty and spirit of the gorgeous wood is given a new life to serve for decades to come. My love of crafting with hand tools gives me a very special feeling of connection with the countless craftsmen that came before me and those to follow - as well as a unity with divine wood itself. It is my pleasure to share this work with you – I hope you enjoy!

We will never chopdown a tree to create your unique piece, we work with reclaimed material and trees that have fallen down through natural causes. The story of where our wood comes from adds character to our pieces. In fact, we plant a young tree for every piece we sell during our annual planting day in Bucks County, PA, USA.
