Victorian Ebony Credenza

About the Item

A very elegant Napoleon 111 Ebony and Satinwood Credenza. This is a really beautiful piece decorated with beaded Brass trim throughout the front and sides along with hand painted Porcelain plaques surrounded by floral Ormolu mounts. Nicely turned fluted columns decorated with beaded trim adorn the front of the piece between the doors. One large center cabinet section with two shelves separated between the two glass door lighted side cabinets encompassing two shelves each. Each shelf in the side cabinets is wrapped with a Red Velvet fabric matching the interiors and edged with a string Inlay Ebony front edge. The cutouts in the side cabinet shelves were probably a latter alteration and have glass inserts to allow the lighting to highlight objects down through the cabinets.
