19th c Pie Safe with Punched Tin Panels in Old Green Paint
About the Item
A fine wooden two-door pie safe in old light green paint with a single drawer over two doors, each with three punched star pattern tin panels, opening to two interior shelves. Inscribed with possible owner’s or maker's name on verso “B.J. Thompson, Conway…(?).The pie safe is in very good overall condition, retaining some of its original hardware, with minor edge losses, paint losses, and wear commensurate with age and use. A brilliant solution with a Velcro strip has been added to help the doors remain closed. Dimensions: 54.25 in H x 40.63 in W x 15.5 in D. Ref: 12939
