Large 18th Century Oak Cupboard.

About the Item

A Superb early 18th Century Westmorland Oak Court Cupboard. Having a carved top rail carved with the initials I/J S B and dated 1711. The upper section has three doors with raised fielded panels and two blind panels, above three moulded drawers and two panelled doors below. This cupboard offers a huge amount of storage and would work well in a kitchen. Excellent pale honey colour with a dry patina.

  • An 18th Century Oak Cupboard

    A splendid example of a 18th Century Georgian oak cupboard from around 1760. The exterior shell is genuine and untouched, with the interior have some modifications and improvements added through the years. The right side door opens to a compartment with hanging pegs and the bottom is open to a short drawer. The left hand side has the same pegging with later added shelving and brass latch. The bottom is closed with a full drawer. Cupboard does have a key. The coloring is absolutely beautiful. Provenance: The Fulwood Collection The Fulwood Collection comes from a Grade II listed rectory in the North of England. Formerly the childhood home of Sir Douglas Bader. The rectory was acquired by the late owner approximately 15 years ago.
