About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of Louis XVI style mahogany and walnut marquetry inlaid corner cabinets with gilt metal fittings and solid marble top A very good looking, decorative and well made pair, they are circa 1900 but based on the early circa 1780 designs which sell for ten times as much They are expertly crafted with solid mahogany and walnut marquetry inlaid panels, you have gilt bronze fittings all over and they are finished with beveled solid marble tops The condition is very good, there are age related patina marks here and there from genuine use and honest age, one of the marble tops has been restored at some point as it was cracked one side, it’s a very good repair so you can’t really see it Dimensions: Height 85.5cm Width 82cm Depth 53.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouse Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
