19th Century George III Style Red Japanned Knee-Hole Desk

About the Item

19th century George III chinoiserie knee-hole desk. The gilt chinoiserie is on a red lacquered background. Decorated bracket feet support the three central drawers flanked by a set of three matching drawers under a large upper drawer. The top and sides are decorated as well. A similar desk is featured in the book “Country French Living”. See photos.
