Childs Exceptionally Rare Satinwood Bureau Desk circa 1770
About the Item
This small satinwood bureau desk circa 1770 is only 75cm tall, making it a very unique piece. It is of the George II / III period with beautifully original painted decoration of garlands of flowers and a miniature portrait to the centre of the top, possibly the original owner's. The colour in the paint has held remarkably well given the age. The bureau fall above five bone handled drawers. On original bracket feet.
