Sypher & Co. 19th Century Chippendale Block Front Slant Front Desk

About the Item

Sypher & Co. 19th century Chippendale block front slant front desk with excellent original finish from a private estate in Princeton NJ Features elaborate shell carving on the slant front typical of the late 19th century period. Petite proportions @ 32.5"W, Gadroon Edge Molding around the Top Galley. Fitted interior with Locking Center compartment and various storage and drawers. Reeded Quarter Columns, joined by detailed gadroon molded base, and full carved knee ball & claw feet front, and back. Drawers are handcut dovetailed constructed. The bottom is one solid dovetailed board with Sypher & Co. Label attached. ( with original keys ) Very good original finish and condition Measures: 32.5"W x 43"H x 20.5".
