About the Item
This desk has a fantastic interior, opening to an amphitheater interior of eight valanced compartments above a fan-carved central drawer flanked by concave, convex, and valanced drawers and two stepped shaped drawers. The exterior is equally impressive with four thumbmolded graduated drawers over a deeply scrolled bracket base.
This desk is made of fine tiger maple that shifts light to dark to light as you walk by it. This Tiger maple desk is probably from the Hartford Connecticut area.

- Condition:There is a small repair to the top where someone forced the lock. The finish had been poorly redone, it has been properly refinished. A 2 inch piece of the back left leg and the central valance on the interior has been restored. Replaced brass.
