A sense of humor, magic, surprise, and interaction are some of the characteristics that underscore my work. “I am interested in objects that really speak to the people who employ them; objects whose ultimate purpose strictly depends on their users. Objects that allow for the possibility of change; objects that when experienced, also extend to touch the senses.” As a concept, I have experimented with the juxtaposition of preexisting technologies, assembled as "composition design". The "ready-made" idea applied to massive products; their application to unpredictable situations -- and without context -- where they are planned as new, in order to obtain differing interpretations and results. We’re most interested in determining the true and valid answers to assumptions of constructive limitation without complexity. We seek the popular response to problems through an application of common sense versus the globalizing response of knowledge applied to design. Operatively, each project or piece of furniture may be considered as an experimental laboratory exploring its varying possibilities -- the effects of altering and mutating products in order to generate many others -- the redesign of traditional forms and the alteration of their functions as well as transcendence to new and more creative applications.
