French 19th Century Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze-Mounted Marquetry Commodes, Pair
About the Item
A very fine pair of French 19th century Louis XV style gilt bronze-mounted floral marquetry Bombé commodes with marble-top. The later serpentine Beige Perlato marble tops above a conforming case decorated with panels of scrolling flora and fauna and fitted with two long drawers, flanked by female busts, raised on angular splayed legs ending in sabots, Paris, circa 1890.
