Midcentury Swedish Sculptural Dresser, William Hinn

About the Item

Wonderful curved and sculptural dresser or credenza from the 1950s Sweden with an exposed biomorphic frame of exquisitely hand-sculpted solid walnut intersects which appear as spider like legs suspending an eight-drawer dresser cabinet with a curved face with matching walnut veneer patterning down the drawer fronts. Beautifully fitted drawers with exceptional fit and finish opens to reveal interiors done in dazzling beech. The top drawers have interior partitions. Superb design in walnut by William Hinn for Urban Furniture, and realized by Swedish Furniture Guild. Dramatically curved front looks interesting from many angles, amazing as an anchor piece for a living or dining area. Retailer Interior Label. David Jones Inc, NYC Back marked "Made in Sweden, Factory No 24.
