This fantastic lacquered sculpted walnut 'Oceanic' highboy dresser cabinet by Pulaski Furniture Corporation, circa 1969 which perfectly encapsulates the California surf mentality of the 1960s and 1970s, making this piece a highly sought after design by Tiki collectors and Mid-Century Modern design aficionados. Featuring four drawers on top and two sculpted drawers below. This chest of dresser drawers would be a wonderful option as a lingerie dresser, jewelry armoire, gentleman’s wardrobe or storage for all of your knick-knacks. Plenty of space for socks, underwear, t-shirts, stockings, ties, belts, pajamas, jewelry and more. This lovely rare oceanic contour highboy gentlemen’s dresser is by Pulaski Furniture Co is often attributed to Witco. The credenza of this line by Pulaski Furniture Corporation was featured in Donald Draper's office for multiple seasons on the hit TV show 'Mad Men'. A photo of the set design is shown in the photo gallery of this listing. This wild oceanic highboy chest of drawers by Pulaski Furniture Co. would work great in a Surf / Beach styled bungalow or Tiki styled home, but also would fit perfectly in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment and could also look fantastic in a contemporary or Postmodern room. Small section of veneer loss on the rear part of the base, can be seen in the photos. Overall attractive and ready for immediate use in a vintage setting or can be refinished to a like-new appearance.
