Very Rare Cal-Mode Dresser by Brown Saltman Lacquered in Laguna Blue

About the Item

Very rare petite Brown Saltman Furniture Company for Cal-Mode chest, updated with a Laguna Blue lacquer. Brown Saltman Furniture Company, founded in 1941, was a collaboration of Paul Frankl and David Saltman. The Laguna Blue lacquer paint gives it an refreshed look. There is a partial tag in the drawer. The back was photographed prior to painting and is stamped Brown Saltman and W & J Sloane. We found it at an estate of a former Yale Professor.
