Brutalist graphical oak highboard with bar cabinet Belgium 1970s

About the Item

Impressive brutalist graphical oak highboard from Belgian origin, likely to have come out of the Aurora factory in Izegem Belgium. These highboards are often attributed to De Coene but they are of a different origin. The highboard is beautifully sculpted with patterned doors and leather pulls. The highboard resembles designs from Tobia & Afra Scarpa and Florence Knoll in the design of the doors. The construction of the highboard and the interior, with bottle compartment, resembles the design from De Coene strongly. The highboard features a solid oak construction, with 2 cabinets below with hinging doors and 1 large cabinet with sliding door. The compartments don’t have lighting.
