The ‘Parentisi’ sideboard with dry bar by Italian designer Luigi Saccardo has two rare features. First, the format is the item is rather striking. With a length of almost 250cm (98 in.) the ‘Parentisi’ has a grand size and lovely oval ends yet is quite low. Secondly the inside is accessible via four doors on top that fold upwards. The large compartment in the middle can be used as a dry bar. The red lacquered wood catches the eye and the circular metal handles are a lovely detail. Luigi Saccardo clearly created a postmodern design that breathes the characteristics of Italian design of that period.
