About the Item

1950’s French original workshop multidrawer cabinet – Industrial green (Model 1094.1) 1950’s French original workshop multidrawer cabinet – Industrial green. One of our favourite finds, we sourced this cabinet in Lille where it was hiding in the back of a tool making workshop. The cabinet is crudely, but well made, probably built by a local carpenter to fit the workshop at the time. The cabinet is heavy and substantial and houses ninety two drawers, all of which open smoothly, a mixture of which have internal fittings which are generally not removable. The pressed metal handles are original throughout as is the classic industrial green painted finish. The top is the original planked pitch pine. Internal drawer size small drawers, L32 x W21 x H5 , Large drawers L32 x W21 x H9, all cm’s. WORKSHOP REPORT Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
