Antique Platform Scagliola Painted Platform With Sacred Heart Detail A wooden platform originally for displaying religious icons from a French Catholic church. Hand-painted with faux-marble and faux-gilt gesso edging centred with a ‘sacred heart’ in thorns. Great for displaying a collection, whether it be religious icons or anything else really, it would even make a great shelf mounted on the wall or indeed a podium after racing your pets. It is in very good vintage condition, it is solid and sturdy and only has natural cosmetic wear and tear from age and use which adds to its charm. Measuring 171cm wide x 34cm deep x 52cm high.
