Unique handcrafted piece, this sculptural ceramic shelf is signed by Clement Brazille, a promising French contemporary designer. Material: Ceramic, stoneware. Dimensions: 60 x 55 x 23 cm. Unique signed piece. "Famille de Terre", is a collection of ceramic unique créations serving as shelves. Clement Brazille combines originality and functionality in those creations which are studied in order to allow an easy storage space thanks to its ingenious proportions. Conserving a brut and natural aspect, those ceramic furniture sculptures are inspired by the asymmetrical symmetries that can be observed in numerous natural landscapes. Called Famille de Terre, family of earth, each sculptural furniture of the series is a unique member of this diverse family: linked to each other by a visual harmony, each member has its own characteristics and distinguished character. Clément Brazille is an important young designer recognized for his meticulous original creativity and for the artistic beauty of his artistic furniture. Clément Brazille was born in 1986, he is a French independent designer and object creator based between Geneva and Paris. After studying Industrial product design and mechanical engineering, he graduated, in 2011, from the Higher Institute of Applied Arts in both Paris and Rennes in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. In October 2012, he met with a ceramist craftsman located near Angers in France who offered him to work and share his workshop with him during ten months. That is when Clément Brazille developed its first ceramic projects. In September 2013, Clément Brazille was admitted for a one-year program at the center for experimentation and realization in contemporary ceramics of Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD). He is now participating, since January 2015, in the Masterclass Skills Academy two organized by the Hermès Foundation and has recently been laureate of a call for projects of the International Design Biennale of Saint Etienne.
