I prodotti della collezione Lockwerk ostentano e mettono in risalto tutti quegli elementi di raccordo, come viti e bulloni, che solitamente vengono nascosti negli oggetti di arredo. Questi oggetti richiamano una dimensione estetica che seppure a prima vista possa sembrare postindustriale, nei rapporti tra forme, proporzioni e finiture si configura come una sorta di classicismo industriale, o ancora come un brutalismo gentile. La libreria "Lockwerk Lounge Shelf", primo prodotto della collezione, è stata premiata come "Best unreleased product" durante la fiera EDIT Napoli 2023.
Gli arredi, per il loro carattere minimale ma forte, si sposano perfettamente sia con un contesto domestico che con il settore retail ed espositivo.
Realizzati in acciaio inossidabile privo di finiture superficiali restituiscono tutte le caratteristiche tattili del materiale in purezza, e possono essere ricondizionati se necessario per garantirgli una lunga vita.

Giorgio Bena
(1995) Born and raised nearby Turin, city where I'm currently based.
I deal with bespoke furniture and interior design, and I'm an art and design curator and professor. In my work I try to enhance the human factor: projects and objects created by people and for people, which process starts with dialogue and collaboration and requires the transmission of skills and knowledge.
I believe it is essential to mantain the awareness that no design, cultural or artistic content exists outside of a human network that supports it and allows it to exist. I have collaborated with the Turin studios Nucleo, Studio F and Velvet Studio, and I am professor of Design History and Culture in IAAD. From 2022 I started my own production activity based, mostly but not exclusively, on metal as a technical material with experimental potential.
