    Located in Dallas, TX
    This elegant, antique fruit wood sideboard was carved in Southern France, circa 1880. The Classic sideboard exemplifies the Louis XV style with a heavy presence, dramatic lines and intricate floral and foliage carvings throughout. The cabinet stands on small cabriole legs ending with escargot feet, over a scalloped apron heavily decorated with a center urn filled with floral and leaf motifs. The cabinet features a pair of drawers across the front dressed with heavy forged iron handles and matching escutcheons (and two fake drawers at the end!), over hand carved laurel and oak branch decor. The cabinet has two arched doors with recessed panels and dressed with oversized iron hinges and large decorative openwork escutcheons (and two fake doors at either end!); the middle doors open to interior shelving for ultimate storage.
