19th Century Empire Style French Mahogany Vitrine

About the Item

High-quality Cuba mahogany on solid softwood. Architecturally articulated body. Two-door, bent frame box on pressed, carved, poliementvergolddete claw feet. Recessed tower with two triple, sprout-glazed, castellated doors Flanked by slightly conical pilasters, ending with chased bronze caryatids in sandal feet. Three-sided sprout-glazed corpus the slices are by hand with facet cut. Mirrored back wall. Polished gold carved strips. Finely chiselled, fire-gilded fittings. (O-121).
