About the Item

Fabulous, original 1930s Art Deco display cabinet. This lovely figured walnut veneered honey mid-tone walnut. The cabinet features a generously sized interior display area for your 'collections'. Very attractive cloud shape astragal to the glass to the doors, offering that extra kerb side appeal. The doors work very smoothly with it's original chrome key, and original glass shelves (there are three shelves in total). Original interior silk lining with geometric pattern, which is in exceptional condition and free from unsightly marks or sun bleaching. This cabinet is in tip top showroom condition, having professionally restored. A rare shaped cabinet not often found. Sourced from original owners family from new nearly 90 years! This is a superb example of an English made Art Deco display cabinet, very popular at the time for displaying your best ''china'' usually displayed in what was known as the ''front room'' which was mainly for show and used for guests and entertaining.
