About the Item
Elegant vitrine cabinet by Swedish designer Carl-Axel Asking made at "Svenska Möbelfabrikerna" Bodafors, Sweden in the 1960s. The cabinet is made from teakwood and the base from beech with shoes in patinated brass. Shelves and sliding doors of glass. The cabinet can be lid from above with 4 light sources hidden behind a brass strip. The shelves can easily be adjusted upwards or downwards.
Carl-Axel Acking (1910-2001) was a prominent architect, interior and industrial designer, who was particularly active during the 1940s and 1950s. He is remembered for his important contribution to modernist architecture and design in Sweden.
