French Zinc and Glass Oeil De Boeuf Vitrine Cabinet

About the Item

This unusual round metal display cabinet is a late 19th century piece made in France. Originally referred to as an oeil de boeuf vitrine for the bull's eye circular windows found in the Palace of Versailles, the round zinc cabinet features two display shelves accessible by a hinged round glass door. The cabinet is certain to get as much attention as the objects it displays. Condition is consistent with age.
