Showcase, oak, glass and metal, Europe, 1940s. This large showcase is made in dark stained oak, with sliding glass doors and a glass top and sides. The transparency allows the user to display its personal belongings of high value such as glassware and artistic treasures. The sturdy design has traits of the Art Deco with its simplistic and clean lines and well proportioned base. The metal handles with oval notches are a notable detail. Please note that this item is in fair condition with visible traces of age and use, including stains, holes, scratches and imperfections on the glass.
