A lavishly carved wedding piece, this oak buffet a deux-corps from Normandy, is embellished with foliage and flowers in carved relief, as well as offering beautifully-articulated applied carvings in high relief as seen in the central flower-filled basket and flanking floral sprays, which are symbolic of a fruitful union. It features the original hand-blown glass, as well as the original pulls, key plates, locks, one key, shelves, and carved escargot feet.
