Early Biedermeier armoire from South Germany, circa 1820.
Blonde cherry solid wood with box fillings, wonderful shellac hand-polish finish.
Ebonized half-columns with original brass capitals and bases.
Ebonized parts, like the inner edges of the box fillings, the middle bar and party of the cornice and plinth.
Wonderful original brass fittings, key and hinges.
Old box lock.
Inside, the armoire has 4 inlay plates, covered with black cotton fabric. Can be easily dismantled into two pieces in the middle.
