Set of two Mid-Century Modern wardrobes

About the Item

Mid-Century Modern wardrobes - Vintage Italian wood armoires - Architectural Walnut Cabinets Presented for sale is a beautiful and attractive set of two matching wardrobes, made in Italy in the 1950s and extremely well manufactured out of walnut. The two pieces, designed with an exquisite attention to details - like the feet, the decorative quality of drawers' handles and the door panels taper - recall the Italian architecture of the period, with a strong reminiscence of Gio Ponti's Pirelli Tower and other buildings in Milano. The legs are a design piece on their own, thanks to the geometric and sculptural wood rests and the screw-in tapered brass feet, that also come in extremely handy to level the cabinets on a non leveled floor. The two cabinets, stained in the same brownish shade and clearly manufactured and sold at the same time, look great when placed side by side but can of course be set in two separate rooms. Each cabinet gives indeed enough storage space to be used on its own. The overall condition of the armoires is really good, with expectable signs of the time but no damage or excessive wear.
