Late 20th Century Italian Floral Marquetry and Brass Service Bar Cart Trolley
About the Item
This elegant two-tier marquetry and gilt brass cart was created in Italy, circa 1980. Rectangular in shape with recessed corners, the bar cart sits on side spoked wheels over bamboo shaped legs embellished with foliage motifs. The trolley features a decorative wooden handle at one end of the top deck. The two plateaus with decorative pierced gallery around the perimeter, are decorated with marquetry inlay medallions of floral and leaf motifs. The bottom tray is further embellished with a three-ring bottle holder compartment. The service table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and would make a beautiful, utilitarian addition to a living room or dining room.
