About the Item
A rare pair of early 19th Century William IV fruitwood card tables of fabulous quality, finely hand carved with rich patination and grain. The well figured, moulded D shaped hinged top folds back to reveal red baize fitted section of circular form, raised above an elegantly simple frieze, supported on tapering hexagonal column support with fabulous gadroon motif detail to the base, raised on concave quatrefoil base, terminating on lion paw foot with scroll detail and brass casters, stunningly hand carved in high relief.
