Antique Moroccan Center Table Hand Carved from Atlas Cedar
About the Item
Exceptional craftsmanship and uniquely beautiful wood, both of a bygone era. This 12-sided center table or coffee table is constructed of Atlas Cedar. A wood unique to pockets of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. An ornamental wood, highly prized for it's honey amber color, attractive fine and straight grain, as well as it's workability.
The 12-sided table top, the 12 side flanks and the 6 legs all feature ornate interconnected hand carvings in 3-dimensional organic and yet spectacularly symmetrical forms.
Remarkable condition for the age. It has been painstakingly cleaned and restored without abrading any surfaces.
