HIGHLY CARVED Late 19th Century Antique French Oak Octagonal BARLEY TWIST Entry, Hall, Sofa, Center, Parlor or End Table ~~Victorian Era Renaissance Revival

These versatile tables were very popular in late Victorian era French country homes and castles~~~characterized by elaborate Renaissance Revival carvings ~~this table is extra special with often requested barley twist legs and "X" stretcher~~high quality table often used as hall or entry table, center or parlor table, end table, sofa tables or night tables
Beautifully carved French flourish apron with putti, urn, flower and acanthus accents
Floral and acanthus relief-carved octagonal beveled edge top~~sturdy and stable thick barley twist legs with foliate block corners and small bun feet
Only the FINEST tables have the barley twist "X" stretcher
Carved on all 8 sides~~will "float" in the center of a room
Outstanding quality~~would make a lovely hall or entry table, end table between two fireside chairs, parlor, window table or sofa table
