French 19th Century Napoleon III Period Louis XV Style Center Table
About the Item
A stunning French mid 19th century Louis XV st. Napoleon III period exotic wood and ormolu center table. The two drawer scallop shaped table is raised by elegant cabriole Rosewood legs with fine pierced fitted foliate sabots and large impressive richly chased corner mounts. The scallop shaped apron is decorated with stunning floral inlaid designs with the back and sides decorated in the same manner with both sides displaying a drawer with a lovely ormolu keyhole escutcheon. The top displays additional exquisite blooming floral inlaid designs in an impressive array of exotic woods with lovely Charmwood inlaid branches framed within elegant wood bands with an exquisite mottled ormolu band at the border with a unique floral design and superb scrolled foliate corner mounts.
