Italian 19th Century Renaissance Style Giltwood Center Table

About the Item

An impressive and most handsome Italian 19th century Renaissance st. giltwood and faux painted marble center table. The rectangular table is raised by beautiful palmette designed feet below elegant mottled fluted plinths which extend along the stretcher and are centered by a striking urn with foliate carvings and a lovely reeded design. Superb baluster shaped columns extend up each side in a most decorative reeded shape with beautiful richly carved masks above flanked by scrolled elements. The mottled frieze above displays a stunning wrap around mirrored gadroon designed band with the wonderfully executed faux painted green marble top. All original gilt and patina throughout.
