About the Item
"Mr Empire e Miss Chrysler sotto il mare" light table designed by artist Claudio Onorato for Fragile Edizioni in 2009, unique piece. This extraordinary table is made of a thick crystal top and a laser cut steel base where one of the artist recurrent topics, a visionary pop imagery, is represented. The title literally means "Mr. Empire and Miss Chrysler under the sea," as the skyscrapers are, in fact, sinked into a bizarre and overcrowded underwater location. When the internal light is on, the table becomes a sort of lantern which projects its figures on the surroundings.
