6ft Regency Mahogany Round Pedestal Dining Table

About the Item

A magnificent and substantial and well-figured early 19th century solid mahogany circular dining table of exceptional scale. The circular table top is crafted of bookmatched highly figured solid mahogany, the diameter is just over 6ft. The top is supported on a substantial tapered mahogany pedestal column and rests on four boldly carved and powerfully conceived lions paws with scrolled anthemions at the sides. In contrast to long extending dining tables, circular tables offer the guests equal space to converse, everyone is within talking distance.
