Royal and Unique Center Table/Salon Table Empire Style, Brass

About the Item

Spectacular Temple Guardian Empire style table Root on solid beechwood. A classicist table with three monumental, fully plastic, caryatids. Three-sided retracted base plate. Round sheet with black and white crossed marble top. Beautiful patina, with shellac hand polish. The fittings are pronounced and of exceptionally good quality. It is a unique. A seemingly identical table to the present example is in Christopher Payne, "European Furniture often he 19th century page 32. (A-SAM-120).
