19th Century French Napoleon III Oval Coffee Table

About the Item

19th Century French Napoleon III Oval Coffee Table is a timeless design, combining the traffic-friendly oval table top with a sturdy "X" shaped leg structure connected to the top with four beautifully turned urn-form pedestals. The solid plank top is of a tailored design, with bullnose style edge, straightforward apron and one tier of trim at the lower edge. Each of the urn pedestals recalls the glory of the ancient Greek and Roman architects, and are mounted directly to the aforementioned leg structure, adorned with fletching carved atop the scrolled ends. Where the legs converge appears a turned and carved finial from which extend four corbels along the tops of the legs, all carved with matching fletching motif for a stunning finishing touch!
