Rustic Natural Cleaned Solid Oak Round Coffee Table or Low Table
About the Item
This authentic round coffee table was made from reclaimed oak beams. It is a piece of family heritage and it was made during the 1960s by our grandfather Piet Rombouts and sons. They were well known in the Netherlands and abroad for both their antique as well as their new furniture made from reclaimed oak. The reclaimed oak beams that they used originated in half-timbered houses in Germany. The beams were beautifully worn by hundreds of years of exposure to the weather. This rustic round table was made from this wood by the use of traditional techniques. We have removed old layers of stain and varnish, so the oak now has its natural appearance. It can be finished with a clear matt lacquer on request.
